The first single ‘Besharam Rang’ was released on You tube on December 12, 2022. The song suddenly became the talking point.
Hindutva group activists objected the saffron color costume worn by Deepika Padukone. And various opposition activities were done over many states.
The group wanted apology from the actor and director, and also wanted to remove the respective scenes from the film.
Hence the movie was reviewed by censor board and given approval to the film with minor changes to the film.
