Story
CTRL is about Social media influencer Nella (Ananya Pandey) and Joe (Vihaan Samat) and the result of their relationship breakup.
Nella and Joe who are in love with each other show causes their relationship online and garner followers. The relationship of the couple gets hit when Nella finds that her boyfriend gets caught with another girl.
Their breakup becomes trending in social media as the video of their breakup goes viral and affects Nella’s social life.
Thus to overcome the mental stress Nella chooses an Artificial Intelligence bot called Allen to remove the Digital data of her Ex-boyfriend.
But the plot thickens when the Allen bot takes control of Nella’s digital life. The rest of the story is about how Nella overcomes the mighty bot and regains control of her life.

Vikramaditya Motwane delivers a decent film with a little bit of resources. Though the movie explores the impact of social media and AI in the day-to-day life of the public, Vikramaditya Motwane handles the writing carefully the movie looks almost perfect.

These developments really made life easier for humans. But, how these Super Intelligent AI tools will fare in the future taking over the jobs of humans?
The movie makes a perfect blend of social messages with a mighty thriller. Thus the movie brings inner fear about social media’s influence on people.
But the screenplay even though predictable does not lag at any point and is engaging throughout the run time.
Performance
Ananya Panday as Nella gives a standout performance. After playing an unworthy role in the past, she got a great role for performances in CTRL.
She nails her role in this venture and looks perfect and charming as the Protagonist. We could safely say Ananya Panday is grooming to be a great asset for Bollywood.
Vihaan Samat as Joe the illegitimate boyfriend has a little screen time. But looks comfortable in the role and gives decent performance.
Other cast members provide a performance that is needed from them even though the roles of the supporting actors are trivial.
Technical Aspects
CTRL is made in screenlife format, But it is hard to pick it up as the movie is made with such precision. Though the movie does not require elaborate CGI the makers of the film give what is needed for the movie.
Pratik Shah’s camera work is the real pro of the movie, from beginning to end the screen is so convincing.
Jahaan Noble’s music is apt for the film and peaks in the second half of the movie.
Every other aspect of the film completely mixes with the eerie atmosphere of the movie.

CTRL has a social message in its storyline and manages to deliver good in parts to the audience.
But Vikramaditya Motwane creates a screenplay out of this plot which is engaging and thrilling.
