Review – Bholaa
Bholaa remake of one of the best action film of south India does differs from its original as a product and core.
The movie is directed and produced by Ajay Devgan makes a complete hero centeric film. When the hero is there there is nothing that could take him out not even an army of men.
Bholaa starts with a bang and goes on and on showing the mightiness of the hero. That goes on for the entirety of the movie.
There is a glimpse of the back story for the lead character, but it does not gives any justice for being in the movie as the movie’s plot lies on the present quandary.
Bholaa is a devotee of lord Shiva and does the stunt scene with ease and the action scenes are catchy.
Tabu in her role as a cop who wants to save the cops who are being spiked with sedative in one of the officers farewell party, takes a help of Bholaa.
The movie almost hides the importance of other characters and does take away the scope to perform. Even Tabu who plays a major role in the film looks like left out of the movie on some scenes.

Many other characters including Deepak Dobriyal as a younger brother of a king pin Vindith Kumar, lost a scope from the original film.
Kaithi does provide motive and does justice for the actions of the character but in Bholaa we see no other character in the light except for the hero.
The Cinematography by Aseem Bajaj is should be praised as for the story happens full on the night. You can imagine the hard work put down by Aseem for creating such a clear spectacle.
Ravi Basrur provides a good background score and the songs are good.
There is a need for these comparison with the original film. Definitely Kaithi was one of the best action movie originated from the south India.
It is hard to match with original unless you make scene by scene replica of it. But filmmakers in bollywood think that the script has to be tunned for the Bollywood audience.
But the truth is people want the soul in the script having mass action scene and item number in a emotional drama does no good to the movie or the audience.

Conclusion
Ajay Devgan as a film maker provides a decent movie and makes it engaging for the action movie lovers. Maybe if you have not watched Kaithi this movie is a decent venture for view.
Bholaa entirely relies on the stardom of Ajay Devgan and he does a fairly good job for his fans. But with a such a versatile script you need more performers and decent screenplay to satisfy the audience.
